Tilson Tuesdays, Robert Cash

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Robert!

Robert is a SkillBridge Intern working on Tilson’s Safety team, where he is responsible for completing safety audits and providing safety onboarding training for new employees and subcontractors. Robert has served in the United States Air Force for over 19 years and is currently transitioning to a civilian career path through the DoD SkillBridge program. For the last eight years of his service, Robert was focused on safety positions within the Air Force, which provided a strong fit with his current role at Tilson. Learn more about Tilson’s SkillBridge program on our blog.

“Tilson is very veteran friendly,” said Robert. “They value the years of experience that you have gained from defending our country. When I started at Tilson in September, many of the people who introduced themselves had a military background. It was an amazing feeling to be surrounded by veterans, and I feel very welcomed by the team. Many of my skills have transferred to my new role, and the Safety team has helped me bridge the gap to the civilian sector.”

Outside of work, Robert enjoys spending time with family, grilling, and coaching his local high school football team. Robert is from Palmdale, California, and currently lives in Sahuarita, Arizona. His favorite sports team is the San Francisco 49ers, his favorite food is french fries, his favorite movie is This Christmas, and his favorite tv show is Yellowstone.

Fun fact: Two of Robert’s children have the same birthday but four years apart.

Thank you for your hard work and service to our country, Robert!
