Tilson Tuesdays, Marc Cline

For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Marc Cline!

Marc is a Microtrench CDL Laborer based out of Las Vegas and has been with Tilson since late 2023. Marc is part of a team that deploys fiber cables to homes, businesses, and schools using a technique called “microtrenching.” This involves using special microtrencher equipment to cut trenches, laying conduit and fiber, and then restore the construction site – often all in a single day. Marc has performed most steps in this process, though currently is responsible for driving a conduit truck, laying the conduit, and helping with site restoration.

Having trained to use a microtrencher, a vacuum truck, and a mini excavator as part of the fiber deployment process, Marc says he enjoys the variety of skills learned on the job. “I enjoy a challenge and working at Tilson provides that, along with opportunities to gain new skills and advance within an organization that values its employees.”

Marc’s favorite Tilson memory so far has been participating in a ribbon cutting event to officially kick off Tilson’s work in Las Vegas. “It provided an opportunity to meet more of the Tilson team and mingle with people from other markets,” Marc said. “My fellow teammates are fun to work alongside, and I enjoy that Tilson constantly strives to improve their work environment.”

Outside of work, Marc likes to play board games with his three daughters, do home improvement projects, and volunteer at his church. He is also kept busy with their two dogs, three cats, and two dozen chickens.

Fun fact: Marc plays the saxophone.

We’re glad to have you on the team, Marc, and appreciate all the hard work you do every day!
