Tilson Tuesdays, Miriam Gillow-Wiles

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Miriam Gillow-Wiles!

Miriam is a Senior Consultant on Tilson’s Broadband Consulting team, based remotely in Colorado. She supports our state clients with developing broadband and digital equity plans, grant applications, and other statewide projects. As an expert in public policy and planning, Miriam understands the intersection of broadband and community development, and creates unique solutions that empower communities through wider broadband access.

“I love working with such a smart and fun team,” said Miriam. “An unofficial part of my job is making sure my team laughs and has fun while doing amazing work for our clients. Each day, we’re helping communities by building infrastructure that allows communities to engage with the world and create better futures for themselves and their families.”

Outside of work, Miriam enjoys road and mountain biking, running, playing board games with friends, cooking and baking, and playing with her dog and three cats, Mortimer, Taco Sauce, Nigel, and Gandalf. Miriam grew up in Oregon and has lived in southwest Colorado for the past 14 years. Her favorite food are tacos (“I haven’t met a taco I didn’t like”), her favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and her favorite book is Miss Rumphius by Barbara Cooney.

Fun fact: Previously, Miriam was a skydiver and bike racer.

Thank you, Miriam, for your expertise and leadership! We’re so luck to have you at Tilson.
