Tilson Tuesdays, Lena Strauss

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Lena!

Lena is a Senior Site Acquisition Specialist based out of Tilson’s Clifton, NJ office and is responsible for handling permitting for Tilson’s northern New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets. She also works with vendors to file permits on their behalf.

“I enjoy working at Tilson because no two days are ever alike,” said Lena. “Telecom requires you to always be on your toes and learn about the constantly evolving technology. I also particularly enjoy my role in ‘external permitting,’ as it allows me to interact with other vendors and see how other companies tackle similar issues. I would describe the company culture as ‘in it together.’ Recently, I have expanded my horizons from small cell to macro and have found that everyone I reach out to for help has gone out of their way to walk me through all my questions, and never once made me feel like a burden in doing so.”

Outside of work, Lena enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, growing her own fruits and vegetables, trying new restaurants with friends, and spending time with her husband. Lena is originally from New Jersey, where she lives now. She has also lived in New York, Florida, and Arizona. Her favorite food is scrambled eggs (“I’m on a never-ending quest to perfect my technique”), her favorite book is “A Farewell to Arms” by Ernest Hemingway, and she has a 14-year-old Staffordshire terrier named Daisy!

Fun Fact: Despite not being able to eat it, Lena makes her own hot sauce called “Hubba-Hubba Hot Sauce.”

We’re lucky to have you at Tilson, Lena! Thank you for all your hard work.
