Tilson Tuesdays, Karissa Wharton

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Karissa Wharton!

Karissa is a Talent Acquisition Specialist on Tilson’s Recruiting team and is based remotely in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is responsible for working with hiring managers nationwide to find, interview, and hire candidates in Las Vegas and Twin Falls, Idaho, for Tilson’s Outside Plant teams. Currently, Karissa has 25+ open positions, including OSP Laborer, Drill Operator, Microtrench Equipment Operator, CDL Laborer, and many more.

“I joined the Tilson team in January of this year and one of my favorite things about our culture has been the team collaboration and support from day one,” said Karissa. “I have the opportunity to grow my career, connect with people across the organization, and learn from my amazing teammates.”

Outside of work, Karissa enjoys hiking, painting, making jewelry, writing, and going to concerts. She is also an avid reader, and her favorite recent books have been Karma by Sadhguru and The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday. Karissa grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and has lived in seven states throughout her life. She now resides in Nevada, where she has lived since 2016.

Fun fact: Before starting her career in recruiting, Karissa worked in a public library for several years. If you need someone to organize a book club or recite Chicka Chicka Boom Boom from memory, Karissa has you covered!

Thank you, Karissa, for helping us grow our teams!
