Tilson Tuesdays, James Wright

For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet James Wright!

James is currently a Senior Closeout Specialist at Tilson where he specializes in reviewing and assessing wireless construction sites to ensure they meet customer specifications. James has been with Tilson for five years and first started with the company as a Tower Tech. Through a series of internal promotions, he became Top Hand, Maintenance Lead, Foreman, and Lead Foreman. Now as a Senior Closeout Specialist, James draws on this extensive tower background and wireless knowledge to ensure the highest level of quality for Tilson’s projects.

Having worked a variety of roles and responsibilities, James has seen Tilson from all sides. “I’m happy to say that Tilson treats their employees wonderfully no matter where you are in the company,” he said. “Tilson has a culture of hard-working, friendly, and understanding people, allowing for success in both professional and personal growth.”

Before joining Tilson, James served in the U.S. Marines for four years and was an Anti-Tank Missileman with a secondary military occupational specialty as a Heavy Machine Gunner. He served in a combined anti-armor team in the 1st Battalion, 1st Marine unit.

When not working, James says he loves doing just about anything as long as he gets to spend that time with his wife. He especially likes to go camping and play with his golden retriever, Fish. When it is time to relax or unwind, James likes to play video games.

Fun fact: James wrestled for 16 years and was a two-time state finalist in high school wrestling and a two-time state champion in freestyle wrestling.

Thank you, James, for bringing your expertise, your drive, and your positive attitude to the team!
