Hoopa, CA (07/19/2023). Tilson, a national network development and information infrastructure professional services firm, has been selected by the Hoopa Valley Public Utilities District (HVPUD) to develop a fiber optic network design for their community to own and operate. Established 40 years ago, the HVPUD is a chartered entity of the Hoopa Valley Tribe offering energy, waste management, and broadband services to its residents. Tilson will provide consulting and design services to HVPUD to support project funding requests to deploy high-speed internet connecting residents and businesses to critical services including telehealth, online education, and more.

The team also develops and administers broadband infrastructure grant programs to help communities take advantage of funding opportunities such as the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.
