PORTLAND, ME (11/08/2023). Tilson, a national network development and information infrastructure professional services firm, has hired Alan Anthony as Senior Vice President of Engineering. With over 15 years of engineering experience in the telecommunications industry, Anthony is responsible for further scaling Tilson’s 200+ employee engineering team as it designs, plans, and builds a full scope of wireline and wireless network services.
Tilson holds Professional Engineering licenses in all 50 states and provides a full range of engineering services including fiber network engineering, outside plant design, CAD drafting, GIS development, third party pole and conduit licensing, permitting, and right-of-way services. Anthony will lead Tilson’s highly skilled team of engineers as the company partners with carriers, infrastructure owners, government agencies, utilities, and privately funded networks to manage high-level designs, low-level designs, tower and small cell solutions, FTTx architecture, and new builds.

Anthony previously served as Vice President for Byers Engineering, a MasTec Company, leading a team of over 300 employees and expanded operations more than three times its original size. Anthony’s proven history of driving successful growth, coupled with his extensive outside plant and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) design engineering experience, directly aligns with Tilson’s organic growth plans.
