Tilson Tuesdays, Jaime Arango Ventura

For this week’s intern edition of #tilsontuesdays, meet Jaime Arango Ventura!

Jaime joined Tilson as one of our 12 paid student interns for the summer. Each student dedicates their internship to their interests or field of study. For Jaime, this involved joining Tilson’s Network Operations Center (NOC) to support their technology platforms and create step-by-step guides known as runbooks.

The NOC team provides monitoring, maintenance, and support for client networks, identifying and resolving incidents to ensure continued network performance. As part of the NOC group, Jaime had to become familiar with a variety of technology platforms and incident management systems to then design and create the runbook guides with detailed procedures for incident resolution and troubleshooting.

Partnering with industry mentors and working on real-world projects are an important part of the internship experience at Tilson. “I learned how to use new applications and prioritize, escalate, and resolve a variety of incidents,” Jaime said. “I appreciate the emphasis on learning and personal growth that was given to me by the Tilson team.”

When researching internships, people in Jaime’s network spoke highly of Tilson and its supportive work environment for both interns and employees. It was this compelling reputation and commitment to employee wellbeing and growth that persuaded Jaime to apply.

“My internship experience at Tilson was truly exceptional and rewarding. From the moment I joined the team, I felt welcomed and supported by my colleagues and mentors.”

Outside of school and work, Jaime enjoys fishing, sports shooting, golfing, and traveling. His favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption, and his favorite book is Dune by Frank Herbert.

Fun fact: From Phoenix, Arizona, Jaime likes to go off roading in the Arizona desert.

Thank you, Jaime, for joining our team this summer! We enjoyed having you on the team and getting to play a part in your professional journey.
