Tilson Tuesdays, Stephanie Combs

For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee highlight, meet Stephanie Combs!

Stephanie is the Outside Plant (OSP) Project Manager in Arizona. In the telecom industry, outside plant refers to the physical infrastructure and equipment placed outdoors when designing and deploying communications networks. This means Stephanie oversees the operations, materials, and installation of fiber optic networks that bring highspeed broadband internet to local Arizona communities. Currently, her work is focused in Chandler and Gilbert, Arizona.

Her team spans a range of responsibilities, including permitting, engineering, project management, and construction. Stephanie appreciates how these groups all come together in positive ways to support the common goal of connecting homes and businesses via fiber networks.

“My team is incredibly supportive and engaged with each other. We have an open-door policy that allows for clear, transparent communication across groups,” Stephanie said.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her two kids, her boyfriend, and their three dogs. She considers herself a “foodie” and is always on the lookout to try new restaurants and foods. Stephanie also enjoys traveling, going to museums, interior design, and the outdoors. Originally from Arizona, Stephanie is a big Phoenix Suns fan.

Fun fact: Stephanie lives by the motto, “Feel the fear and do it anyway,” which she has as a tattoo.

Thank you, Stephanie, for all your hard work making our OSP projects a success!
