Tilson Tuesdays, Mark Grotevant

For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee highlight, meet Mark Grotevant!

Mark is a Principal Consultant on Tilson’s Telecom Consulting team where he performs due diligence for broadband projects across the country. Mark assesses project risks, analyzes economic impacts, and develops optimization strategies for clients looking to understand and implement broadband projects.

Mark appreciates that he gets the opportunity to work with colleagues across different areas of expertise. Tilson provides full turnkey network services, from design and engineering, to construction and monitoring, which means Mark can collaborate with a wide range of in-house experts in his day-to-day work. “I find that Tilson has a welcoming environment where I can reach out to others, bounce ideas off them, and find the resources I need.”

When asked about the company culture, Mark said Tilson “combines a serious work ethic with space for personal and family life – it provides a good work/life balance.”

In his personal life, Mark enjoys kayaking, photography, and music. He is an avid jazz fan of both classic and contemporary jazz. One of his favorite albums is Kind of Blue by Miles Davis. Mark is a big reader with an eclectic range of interests. You might catch him reading a classic novel, a detective story, or a non-fiction science book about quantum physics.

Fun fact: When Mark was a teenager, he rebuilt a ’57 Chevy end-to-end.

Thank you, Mark, for everything you do for Tilson and for our partner clients. We appreciate having you on the team!
