Tilson Tuesdays, Joanna Clark

For this week’s intern edition of #tilsontuesdays, meet Joanna Clark!

Joanna is part of Tilson’s paid summer internship program, which partners industry mentors with university students across the country. Joanna joined Tilson’s Marketing and Communications team to contribute to a variety of real-life projects and learn more about the industry.

Working side-by-side with industry professionals is an important component of the internship experience and helps prepare students for their future careers. For Joanna, she got to experience what it’s like to collaborate as a member of a real marketing team.

“This internship has been a learning experience for me in many ways. It taught me about a variety of marketing strategies that can benefit a company,” Joanna said. “It was rewarding to contribute to projects and share my ideas and then see them used by the team.”

Joanna graduates from North Carolina Central University this fall with a degree in business administration and a concentration in management. Post graduation she intends to earn a Master of Business Administration and continue with marketing.

“Interning with Tilson has made me even more passionate about the marketing field,” Joanna added.

In her free time, Joanna likes reading, cooking, baking, swimming, and traveling. Her favorite movie is “Clueless,” and her favorite book is “The Silent Patient” by Alex Michaelides. Born and raised in Boston, she always roots for the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics.

Fun fact: Both Joanna and her mom have twin sisters.

It was a pleasure having you as part of our team, Joanna. Thank you for all you did this summer, and all the best with your journey ahead!
