For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Lisa Haen!
Lisa is the Program Safety Manager for Tilson’s Wisconsin market, managing our safety compliance program, leading operational safety, and conducting in-person/virtual compliance trainings for our Outside Plant teams. With safety being the #1 core value at Tilson, Lisa and the rest of the Safety team are focused on strengthening our safety-focused culture through continuously improving and empowering our teams to be safe and go home safe.
Lisa first worked with Tilson as a safety consultant and decided to join us full-time in early 2023. “I was impressed with leadership’s focus on field safety and the commitment to do things the right way instead of the easy way,” Lisa said.
Her favorite project, so far, is the ongoing development of a new safety field guide to further define operational safety for the company, slated for rollout in 2024.
Per Lisa, “We are on a mission to be the best in the industry, and our safety culture is no exception. I consistently see leadership’s commitment to the safety and well-being of workers in every area of our operations – that makes me proud to be part of the Tilson team!”
When not obsessing about safety in the workplace, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and playing her guitar. She likes outdoor adventures, kayaking, hiking, campfires, and growing her own organic food to try out new, healthy recipes. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she has green and gold running through her veins (Go Pack Go!). Music is a common theme in her home and one of her house rules is “we dance in the kitchen.” If you’re on a Teams call with Lisa, you may be treated to a cameo from her sassy Belgian Malinois dog.
Fun fact: Since 1994, Lisa has been driving a Harley Davidson FLSTC.
