For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee highlight, meet Jamie Schwarz!
Jamie serves as Assistant Vice President of Telecom and has been with Tilson since the fall of 2022. In his role, Jamie leads the Architecture and Engineering, Construction, and Site Deployment teams responsible for Tilson’s wireless projects across the country. He also collaborates closely with clients and partner organizations to identify and deliver turnkey wireless solutions.
Jamie is involved in projects coast to coast and says the most memorable have been those where he’s been able to develop strong relationships with customers. One such effort started with an initial scope of 60 project sites in a single region. As the work progressed, this partnership strengthened and the work has since expanded to include over 200 project sites in multiple states.
As a leader in the Wireless division, his favorite aspect of the job is the daily opportunities it provides to mentor and coach Tilson team members. “Building relationships across our organization is so rewarding,” Jamie said. “Nothing makes me prouder than supporting the growth and development of our people!”
Outside of work, Jamie likes to spend time with his wife and three children. They currently live in Florida along with their three dogs, six chickens, and a bunch of fish. Originally from Chicago, Jamie remains a Chicago Cubs fan, though he appreciates now being able to take his family to the many Florida beaches. Jamie is always looking for ways to get outdoors, with bow hunting and fishing as hobbies. He is also a lover of all music, with a special fondness for rock, blues, country, and hip hop.
Fun fact: Jamie started his telecom career as a tower technician before progressing to foreman, construction manager, project manager, operations manager, program manager, director, and now AVP. This experience has given him a deep understanding of the industry from top to bottom while also driving his desire to support team members in their own development and growth.
