Tilson offers tower development, site acquisition, engineering, construction and maintenance services for wireless service providers, tower developers/owners, and OEMs. Tilson provides turn-key services for new site builds, modifications, and line and antenna installation. The majority of our services are handled by our employee crews, streamlining the process and avoiding unnecessary delays as the project progresses through the phases of development. In addition, Tilson’s infrastructure affiliate develops, owns, and leases back towers to carriers, wireless broadband/internet service providers, IoT and public safety operators to offer financing flexibility and faster deployment.
Tilson has a team of experienced site acquisition specialists with local jurisdictional knowledge in every market that we serve. Our real estate team is led by a team of attorneys that can handle the most complex land use issues that arise during site development. We routinely handle all aspects of tower development including leases and lease amendments, easements, land use approvals, variances, FAA and FCC filings, and coordination of NEPA screening reports, EAs and Phase I environmental screenings.
Our civil and L&A construction crews are located across the country and can mobilize quickly in any of the markets that we serve. We provide turn-key construction of raw land builds and structural modifications, and have crews of climbers experienced in all aspects of line and antenna construction. Our antenna and line crews understand RF engineering and can install, optimize and troubleshoot antenna systems on towers and on the ground. All crews are equipped with the necessary tools and with the latest PIM and sweep gear. Tilson is authorized to work as a GC in all 50 states, and holds contractor licenses in every state in which it is required.
Tilson has an engineering department that includes Professional Engineers licensed in most states and drafters experienced with both AutoCAD and MicroStation. We produce and stamp high quality lease exhibits, zoning drawings, construction drawings and structural analyses that meet all of our customers’ requirements. In addition, our licensed PEs can design structural modification designs for towers and other wireless support structures.
Tilson provides both routine maintenance and emergency response to outages and trouble tickets. Our technicians are OEM trained, and have received the prior authorizations necessary to access tower sites owned by all of the major tower owners and carriers. Our maintenance crews are well-stocked with the materials needed to make routine repairs on short notice.
