For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Michelle Raffoul!
Michelle is the Construction Coordinator for our Chandler, Arizona market and is responsible for coordinating day-to-day business for our Outside Plant crews installing fiber internet. This includes collaborating with city inspectors, working on traffic control drawings, preparing project forecasts, and managing purchase orders for needed materials.
Starting this week, the Arizona team is adding the use of microtrenchers to deploy fiber infrastructure. Microtrenchers quickly cut a long, narrow trench into roads and sidewalks, allowing the team to safely install fiber conduit while minimizing the disruption to the local community.
For Michelle, she appreciates that Tilson is adapting and changing to find the best way to get the job done. “There is always something different every day, which I think is fun and makes the day interesting. It is both a challenging and a learning experience.”
When not at work, Michelle spends time with her husband, three kids, and pet dog named Chip. They often go for walks to the park and do movie nights for quality time together. With the limited free time that three kids allow, she likes to cook and bake.
Fun fact: Michelle has only been living in Arizona for two years and is loving the experience so far (minus the heat). She has even become a Phoenix Suns fan.
