WASHINGTON, DC (February 18, 2016) – Tilson has been selected by the U.S. Department of Commerce to develop technical writing content under contract for its BroadbandUSA Initiative. BroadbandUSA is an initiative of the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) aimed at finding ways to help communities make sure their citizens have the broadband capacity they need to advance economic development, education, health care, and public safety. Under the direction of NTIA, Tilson will research, write, and edit website content, white papers, and presentations. Tilson was selected through a nationally competitive process administered by the General Services Administration (GSA).
“We are honored to work side-by-side with NTIA to help communities across the United States create better opportunities to access and use broadband,” said Chris Campbell, Tilson’s broadband director. “Tilson played an active role in successfully consulting on, engineering, and managing the build out of middle-mile networks funded by NTIA’s BTOP program, and we are excited to continue our work together in this new capacity.”
