PORTLAND, ME (August 2, 2012) The Maine Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association held its annual scholarship golf tournament on Tuesday, July 31 at Spring Meadows Golf Club in Gray. "It was a great day on the links," said Joshua Broder, Tilson's President. "Taking part today gave us the opportunity to support a scholarship initiative and to catch up with our construction industry peers. We were excited to join with many other local companies to sponsor this event."
The tournament brought together construction industry professionals from across the state. All proceeds from the tournament fund scholarships that support Maine students pursuing post-secondary education in construction management, accounting and finance, and other construction-related fields. Gene Wendland, Tilson's CFO; and Karen Simonds, Tilson's Manager of Accounting and Human Resources, served as volunteers at the event.
