For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Sara!
Sara is a GIS Technician on Tilson’s Engineering team and is responsible for managing geospatial data, leveraging several GIS platforms, and creating maps for both internal and external audiences.
“This is my first job out of college, and all the positions I had before were in the food service industry,” said Sara. “I love that Tilson allows me to be flexible with where and how I work. I would describe our culture as supportive. One of my biggest concerns coming out of school was getting a job where the employer didn’t take COVID-19 seriously or didn’t support employees who wanted to continue to work remotely, and I feel Tilson has been very accommodating in both regards.”
Outside of work, Sara enjoys riding her bike, walking her dog, Molly, and planning road trips. Sara is from Chester County, Pennsylvania, and works remotely from Pennsylvania and Colorado. Her favorite food is sushi, her favorite show is Arrested Development, and her favorite author is Sarah J. Maas.
Fun fact: Sara is learning Spanish on the Duolingo app and currently has a 700+ day streak.
