For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Wayne!
Wayne was recently promoted from Superintendent to Outside Plant Field Construction Manager and is based out of Tilson’s Appleton, Wisconsin office. As part of his new role, Wayne is responsible for managing a Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) crew who supports Tilson’s growing fiber operations. From coordinating field operations, to ensuring all safety best practices are met, Wayne is always focused on going above and beyond for our clients.
“Tilson makes me feel like my life and work experiences are valuable and that I’m more than just a name in the system,” said Wayne. “The company cares about all of us, not just because they have to but because they want to. I appreciate that as I’m growing in my role, the company is also listening, learning, and continuously improving.”
Outside of work, Wayne enjoys spending time in nature, camping, and exploring new hiking trails. Wayne was born and raised in Wisconsin and grew up on a farm in central Wisconsin. He roots for the Green Bay Packers (“Go Packers, Go!”), his favorite food is sushi, and his favorite movie is Wayne’s World.
Fun fact: Wayne is an ordained minister.
