Tilson Tuesdays, Wade Watkinson

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays, meet Wade Watkinson!

Wade is a Tower Maintenance Lead for Tilson’s Wireless Division. Our Bow, New Hampshire office is his home base, but his team covers the entire New England area. Wade, along with the help of his team, is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues with wireless equipment. This covers a wide range of structures and equipment, including towers, small cells, and in-building systems.

At Tilson, Wade appreciates being challenged and having opportunities to learn. His favorite project so far was maintaining and troubleshooting a complex DOT network where he gained unique job skills. Wade also has fond memories of annual climbing training events that bring teams together. He’s looking forward to the next one to see how far everyone has grown in the last year.

Regarding Tilson’s culture, Wade said, “It’s not very often you see a company that genuinely cares about both the mental and physical well-being of its employees. Tilson definitely does that.”

Outside of work, Wade likes to read or play with his son. His favorite food is ramen, and he will never turn down a good cup of coffee. He is a Marine and was on active duty for just over four years. Along with his wife and son, his family also consists of a dog named Rae, a cat named Snickers, and two ferrets named Bender and Roberto.

Fun fact: The day before starting first grade, Wade attempted a backflip off a swing and broke both of his wrists before blacking out. Thankfully, he has left the acrobatics behind when climbing telecom towers.

Thank you for being part of the team, Wade, and for all you do for Tilson!
