For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Tara Slaughter!
Tara is a Senior Human Resources Business Partner based out of our Las Vegas office, providing strategic HR support to multiple Tilson teams across various departments. Originally from San Diego, Tara moved to Las Vegas to support our Outside Plant crews, who are currently working on the construction of a fiber network designed to bring reliable broadband access to over 265,000 units in the Las Vegas Valley. Tara’s expertise in employee relations and organizational development is crucial to the success of this large-scale project, helping foster a positive and effective workplace culture for all.

When asked to describe our culture in her own words, she emphasized how Tilson values everyone at the company, saying “Tilson focuses on collaboration and teamwork, while also recognizing and celebrating individual employees.” She went on to add, “Tilson’s work/life balance is amazing, and I appreciate that leadership is transparent and trustworthy.”
Outside of work, Tara never slows down. She is a certified Life Coach, a licensed cosmetologist, and volunteers with FANCY, a nonprofit that mentors middle and high school girls. She also models and acts on the side. Among her many activities, Tara also loves to spend time with her blended family of six kids, ages 16 to 29.
Fun fact: Tara doesn’t like eggs, beef, and most surprisingly, chocolate!
