For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Sonja Tilton!
Sonja is the Safety Supervisor for Outside Plant (OSP) operations in our Las Vegas market. In her role, Sonja supports and enacts our existing safety program, while also identifying safety improvements. This involves providing training to the team, building a safety-first culture, and serving as a subject matter expert for safe drilling and microtrenching operations.
Dedicated to the continued safety of Tilson’s team, Sonja recently earned her Certified Instructional Trainer (CIT) certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, exceeding 135 hours of teaching, training, and development to pass her exam with flying colors.
Originally from California, Sonja now lives in Las Vegas with her two dogs. When not working, you can find her baking a new dessert or taking photos. She also loves global travel, with South Africa and Zimbabwe as her favorite destinations (so far!).
Fun fact: Sonja is a hobby aerialist, taking to the air for stunts and acrobatics.
