For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Sonia!
Sonia is a Closeout Specialist on Tilson’s outside plant team and is responsible for collecting and coordinating closeout documentation for projects, including fiber and conduit designs, permits, dark fiber test results, splice packages, and field photographs.
“I feel like everyone says this, but it’s the people that make Tilson so special,” said Sonia. “No matter who you talk to, they’re friendly, funny, and team-oriented. There’s never any hesitation to discuss bottlenecks to find more effective, long-term solutions.”
Outside of work, Sonia enjoys running, lifting weights, playing board games, and thrift shopping. Sonia is from Howard County, Maryland, and now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her favorite foods are Brussel sprouts, salmon sashimi, and ice cream (not together though), her favorite movie is Crazy Rich Asians, and she has a white Turkish Angora cat named Simba.
Fun fact: Sonia is half Japanese (mom’s side) and half English (dad’s side).
