March is a significant month, marking both Women’s History Month and Women in Construction Week, observances that celebrate women’s progress and encourage greater participation and leadership in historically underrepresented fields. In recognition of these observances, our Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlights this month will feature female leaders across Tilson who are making an impact in our company and industry.
For this week’s Tilson Tuesday, meet Savanah Tash! Savanah is an Outside Plant Construction Supervisor, where she oversees and supports construction crews working to bring fiber internet to over 265,000 homes and businesses in the Las Vegas Valley. She and her team specialize in microtrenching operations, a process Tilson uses to install fiber infrastructure with minimal construction noise, disruption, and time. Microtrenching also enhances safety for both our crews and the public.
Savanah first joined Tilson as a microtrench laborer, quickly learning the technology and how to operate the equipment safely and effectively. As she grew in her role and responsibilities, she was promoted to an construction supervisor where she can use her expertise to mentor and guide others on the jobsite.
“Savanah’s leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills made her stand out, leading to her well-earned promotion,” said Lacey Theobald, Tilson’s AVP of OSP in Nevada, adding, “Savanah leads with a positive attitude every day and never hesitates to step in where needed.”
When asked about her experience with Tilson, Savanah shared that “Tilson fosters a highly collaborative and innovative environment where employees feel empowered to share ideas, take ownership of their work, and constantly strive for improvement—there is a strong emphasis on open communication, mutual respect, and a healthy work-life balance.”
Outside of work, Savanah likes to spend time with her family, friends, and two dogs; go out in nature; bake; and watch anime. She is an avid runner and enjoys listening to death metal for running motivation.
Fun fact: Savanah is an avid horticulturist and loves to garden and take care of plants.
