For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Russell Tuttle II!
Russell is an OSP and ISP Consultant on our Telecom Consulting team, a growing division at Tilson focused on improving broadband access for communities nationwide. Russell’s responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-engineering field surveys and technical due diligence evaluations. When he’s not in the field, Russell contributes to various projects within the consulting engineering team, such as grant reviews, writing standards and specifications, and assisting with high-level designs.
Russell’s favorite Tilson memories come from being in the field as part of Tilson’s mission to build high-speed internet across America. His favorite project so far has been in Lake Tahoe where he assisted with the preparations for a fiber optic installation. The project brought broadband internet to an underserved community while providing Russell gorgeous mountain views.
“Working at Tilson has been a breath of fresh air. It’s a driven, goal-oriented group of composed individuals that I really enjoy working with.”
In his free time, Russell enjoys travelling with his family and friends, watching drag races, shooting pool, and relaxing near the water while listening to neo-soul music. While he can’t pick just one favorite sports team, being from North Carolina he remains loyal to the Carolina Panthers.
Fun fact: Russell has been an avid rider of dirt bikes and motorcycles since he was only 5 years old. He enjoys the opportunity it gives him to be in nature and take a break from the stresses of modern life.
Thank you, Russell, for all your hard work and for helping Tilson bring internet access to even the most challenging environments.
