Tilson Tuesdays, Matthew Cyr

For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Matthew Cyr!

Matthew has been with Tilson for over five years and currently serves as our Assistant Vice President of Planning and Execution, based remotely in Raleigh, North Carolina. He leads both the development and the execution of project management and strategic planning initiatives across our company. Matthew and his team create and improve the processes for our telecom infrastructure work, from installing fiber cable networks to guiding construction companies through software changes. His strategic insights lead to faster project timelines, higher productivity, and improved outcomes for our clients.

When asked about his favorite part of working at Tilson, Matthew said that “without question, Tilson’s greatest asset is its people.” He went on to say, “there is a universally shared commitment to our values and to continuous improvement. It’s inspiring and empowers people to drive innovation and fearlessly lead others forward.”

Outside of work, Matthew loves the outdoors and is an avid explorer, having completed several solo expeditions into remote wilderness areas. He also enjoys skiing, surfing, and fly fishing. If he is stuck indoors, he likes to read (his favorite book is The Martian Chronicles) or watch Basketball (his favorite team is Duke’s Blue Devils). Matthew also has two animal companions, a dog named Archie and a cat named Poppy, both of whom make frequent appearances on his work calls.

Fun fact: Matthew’s go-to karaoke song is Hello by Lionel Richie

Thank you, Matthew, for the support you provide our teams, your innovation, and your commitment to continuous improvement.
