For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Matt Phipps!
Matt is a Technology Consultant on Tilson’s Construction IT (CIT) team, with a focus on software selection, implementation, and user training for clients. Matt specializes in helping businesses implement CMiC and Procore construction software solutions and recently started a blog series to provide optimization tips for Procore users.
Matt appreciates the importance of his role as a CIT consultant, acknowledging that “it is humbling to help a client make a big decision that will impact their entire organization for years to come.” Finding the right software tool and customizing it means a business can make smarter, faster decisions and has greater insight into their data. To accomplish these goals, Matt leans on his years of experience working in the construction industry and his knowledge of creating reports, dashboards, and data visuals. “This work lands at the perfect intersection of several skills I’ve honed over my career.”
Within the CIT group, Matt enjoys working alongside a team of like-minded construction technology specialists and has been impressed by the teamwork and camaraderie across the organization:
“I love seeing everyone congratulating and supporting each other for a job well done.” Matt continued, “the amount of industry knowledge packed into the minds of our group is astounding, and they go out of their way to encourage my own growth and development.”
When not working, Matt loves hiking and bike rides with his wife, four daughters, and bernedoodle Charly. While central Pennsylvania has been home for the past 18 years, Matt is originally from Michigan and still roots for the Michigan State football and basketball teams.
Fun fact: Matt is a big fan of The Beatles and enjoys playing guitar in his free time.
