For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Kate!
Kate is the VP of Corporate Development based out of Tilson’s Portland, ME headquarters and is responsible for evaluating acquisition opportunities, leading Tilson’s innovation practice, and spearheading Tilson’s internet service provider (ISP) business, Tilson Broadband.
“The company culture is dynamic, evolving, and filled with talented and capable people who are driven,” said Kate. “The telecom sector is increasingly dynamic from a mergers and acquisitions perspective, and I’m enjoying the nature of that work. I also love working with people; working with smart, funny, and driven Tilson teammates is a highlight.”
Outside of work, Kate enjoys reading a good book, hiking with family, hanging out by the lake, and listening to podcasts. Kate’s favorite podcasts are “Smartless”, “Armchair Experts”, “Kelly Corrigan Wonders”, “A Bit of Optimism” with Simon Sinek, and her family’s favorite is “Wow in the World”. She is originally from Maine and has two newfie dogs and a goldfish!
Fun Fact: Did you know Kate was a certified yoga teacher? She fell in love with yoga in her 20s and still enjoys taking a yoga class whenever she has time.
