Tilson Tuesdays, Kara Tate

For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Kara Tate!

Kara is an Events Manager on Tilson’s Marketing and Communications team and is responsible for planning and coordinating over 75 events throughout the year. She collaborates across all divisions at Tilson to help our employees prepare for industry events, tradeshows, and conferences.

Kara finds it hard to narrow down her favorite memory or project at Tilson to just one. She enjoys any time she gets to travel and meet new people. This makes her the perfect Events Manager since Tilson attends various conferences and events across the country year-round. Her role in organizing these events provides lots of opportunities to both travel and build meaningful relationships.

“The culture at Tilson is the best!” Kara said. “The different teams are great to work with and you can tell leadership is invested in our well-being.”

In her free time, Kara enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her daughter Ellie, who is about to turn three. Kara loves dogs – whether it’s her own pet boxer Oliver or the UGA Bulldogs (“go Dawgs!”). Kara is based out of Georgia and when she needs to unwind, she likes to drive up to the mountains of northern Georgia to hike and explore wineries.

Fun fact: While Kara would normally describe herself as a very structured person, she finds throwing away the itinerary when vacationing has led to her most memorable trips and experiences.

Thank you, Kara, for the hands-on attention you give to every event! You always make sure Tilson is exactly where we need to be, when we need to be there.
