In honor of Women’s History Month, we are featuring women throughout the month of March who are influencing and leading Tilson’s mission to build America’s information infrastructure. For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Kaitlyn!
Kaitlyn is a Junior Broadband Consultant on Tilson’s Broadband Consulting team, based remotely in North Carolina. She supports our state government clients with developing their strategic Digital Equity and Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program plans. Along with advising our clients on their broadband strategies, Kaitlyn also works with our Consulting team to help states with creating broadband and digital access resources for underserved communities.
“My team is creative, engaged, and always ready to help across projects,” said Kaitlyn. “It’s an exciting time to be a part of telecom consulting and help underserved communities receive access to broadband.”
When asked what Women’s History Month means to her, Kaitlyn said, “I learn so much from other women at Tilson. For me, it’s an important time to take a focused look at the impact women have in our daily lives and throughout our industry, recognizing what progress has been made, and where we can improve in the future.”
Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys reading, checking out local antique shops, and spending time with friends and family. Kaitlyn is from Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and recently moved back to her home state. Her favorite food is chips and salsa, her favorite movie is The Princess Bride, and her favorite book is East of Eden by John Steinbeck.
Fun fact: Every year, Kaitlyn celebrates Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, including themed parties and food.
We’re lucky to have you at Tilson, Kaitlyn. Thank you for all your hard work!
