For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Jim!
Jim is an OSP National Safety Manager for Tilson’s Outside Plant team, where he is responsible for creating a positive safety culture by supporting our existing safety program, expanding apprenticeship programs, and providing training for our growing horizontal directional drilling and fiber self-perform operations.
“Tilson is growing and it’s rewarding to work with the next generation of Tilson employees to ensure their safety,” said Jim. “I enjoy applying my 37 years of experience to support our teams and Tilson’s world class safety culture.”
Outside of work, Jim enjoys playing golf, watching movies, and attending Comic-Con. Jim was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, as a first-generation Greek American, and now lives in Illinois. His favorite sports team is the Chicago White Sox, his favorite type of food is Greek, and his favorite movies are Superman, Planet of the Apes (the original), Justice League, and Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Fun fact: Jim has been a huge Superman/Batman fan since 1964 and has had the pleasure of meeting Adam West (the original 1966 Batman) and George Barris (the creator of the 1966 Batmobile).
