Tilson Tuesdays, Erica Cabrera

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Erica!

Erica is a Licensing Manager in Hartford, CT and is responsible for leading the Licensing and Make Ready Engineering teams, working with project managers to develop scope, budget, and schedule timelines for project bids.

“I enjoy the dynamic workday and being a part of a growing company,” Erica said. “I would describe the company culture as engaging, competitive, and flexible. The 5G projects are exciting to watch because of the deployment of this new technology, but the fiber to the home projects are the most rewarding. With COVID-19, it is important to bring broadband to help families continue education remotely.”

Outside of work, Erica enjoys going for walks with her family and gardening. She has three dogs (Finn, Axel, and Trina) and one cat (Nala) and grew up in Gaylordsville, CT.

Fun Fact: Did you know Erica was an apprentice for her local Operating Engineers union? She was trained on all types of heavy machinery including backhoe, loader, dozer, and a lull. Her training gave her an appreciation for Tilson’s construction crews and the challenges they face in both aerial and underground construction.

Thanks for all your hard work, Erica! We’re glad to have you on the team.
