For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Eric Miller!
Eric is a Principal Consultant for Tilson’s Telecom Consulting team and is based out of the Detroit metro area. In his role, he works on a range of telecom consulting projects, but his main focus is technical due diligence for clients investing in ISP and infrastructure operations. Eric evaluates all aspects of a telecom network so potential investors have all the needed information to make good decisions. This includes evaluating the network’s physical assets, technologies, strategies, and processes to fully understand the risks and the growth potential of that telecommunication operation.
Eric enjoys that these projects are interesting, impactful, and challenging. But more than that, he appreciates how his role allows him to collaborate with people across all of Tilson. “I work with so many talented people here, I learn something new every day,” Eric said. “I’ve held many roles in technology over the years and have found the focus and commitment at all levels at Tilson really stands out.”
“The culture is upbeat and team-oriented, and I believe that is a strong contributor to our growth,” he added.
When not at work, Eric enjoys traveling, photography, and reading, with a special interest in reading historical biographies. His favorite food is barbeque, especially smoked brisket. He has several rescue pets, including two dogs (Cammie and Caroline) and one cat (Sammie).
Fun fact: True to his Detroit heritage, Eric loves cars. He attends car club events and collects automotive memorabilia, including literature, models, and signs. If you spot a 1966 Plymouth Barracuda driving around town, chances are you’ve found Eric.
