For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Ashley!
Ashley is an Accounting Manager in Tilson’s Portland, ME headquarters and has been on the Tilson team for the past 6 years. She is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Tilson’s Accounts Receivable (AR) department while establishing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
“I love the challenge and collaboration between departments and everyone’s commitment to excellence,” said Ashley. “Although, I think, most people would consider accounting a rather monotonous profession, I can say that every day brings something new here at Tilson. I assure you in working here for six years, I have never experienced a boring day within the accounting department. There are always opportunities to learn and grow.”
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her 9-year-old daughter and the rest of her family. Ashley enjoys cooking, spending time outside, snowmobiling, and skiing. In the summertime, Ashley and her family spend time on Ossipee Lake in New Hampshire and last summer, she was able to spend the entire summer working remotely at their family camp on the lake. Ashley was born in Worcester MA, raised in Windham ME, and is a New England sports fan (Boston Bruins, New England Patriots, and the Red Sox).
Fun fact: Ashley is crazy about Christmas! Her daughter calls her “Christmas Crazy.” One of her favorite traditions is decorating her entire house for Christmas on November 1st.
