For this week’s Tilson Tuesdays employee spotlight, meet Andres Reyes!
Andres is a Microtrench Equipment Operator III on Tilson’s Outside Plant team in Arizona, leading a crew that installs fiber internet cables underground. When a construction project requires fiber to be dug deeper than the standard depth or installed around complex infrastructure, Andres and his team are the ones who step in. They are a highly skilled group with the experience, equipment, and safety mindset to take on the toughest jobs. It’s this challenge and constant learning that Andres loves about this work.
Once construction is complete, Andres and his team also step in to restore the area. This includes fixing concrete, asphalt, gravel, and any other yard repairs. Many of our team members live in the area where they work, like Andres, and they do everything they can to be a good neighbor and safely restore our job sites.
Originally from California, Andres now calls Arizona home where he lives with his wife, daughter, and their dog, Bricks. In his spare time, Andres enjoys going to local events in the city and hosting get-togethers with friends and family.
Fun fact: When he’s not operating our equipment with precision, Andres brings that same steady hand to the ping pong table, where he’s earned tournament champion status.
