Tilson Tuesdays, Stephanie McCort

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Stephanie!

Stephanie is a Business Analyst based out of Tilson’s Portland, ME headquarters and is responsible for procuring new network deployment business opportunities and coordinating proposals for various business units.

“The culture at Tilson is very collaborative,” said Stephanie. “There is a real ‘roll up your sleeves’ and get it done attitude that allows us to work together, even when we are far apart, to meet challenging project deadlines and requirements. My team is friendly, funny, and smart, and some of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. The company goes out of its way to make employees feel heard and valued. The corporate transparency comes from the top down, so every employee understands our company’s decisions.”

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys kayaking, camping, stand-up paddleboarding (SUPing), cooking, and hosting bonfires and BBQs. Before the pandemic, Stephanie was heavily involved in producing and stage-managing community theater in Maine and loved attending live shows. Stephanie’s favorite food is tacos, her favorite sports teams are the Cleveland Guardians and Boston Bruins, her favorite movie is Garden State, and her favorite book is Untamed by Glennon Doyle. Originally from Akron, Ohio, Stephanie now lives in Maine with her husband and Maine coon cat, Zeus.

Fun Fact: Did you know that prior to Tilson, Stephanie worked on Broadway for 15 years? She’s had a few celebrity encounters during her time on Broadway, including riding in an elevator with Green Day and Nathan Lane, meeting Michael C. Hall backstage, and very briefly sharing the stage with Neil Patrick Harris during a rehearsal.

Thank you, Stephanie, for your hard work and expertise! We’re happy to have you on the team.
