Tilson Tuesdays, Sean Spillane

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Sean!

Sean is an Outside Plant Project Manager based out of Tilson’s Portland, ME headquarters and is responsible for maintaining the operations and customer relationships for Tilson’s internet service provider (ISP) business, Tilson Broadband. He started at Tilson in August of 2020 as a SkillBridge intern after completing four years as an U.S. Army Logistics Officer.

“I enjoy working at Tilson because everyone truly cares about the work they are doing, and everyone’s values seem to be in line with those of the organization,” said Sean. “Tilson does a wonderful job of getting the right people on the team and then utilizing them where they fit best. If I had to describe Tilson’s company culture to others, I would say it is similar to the military in that it can be described as ‘mission first, people always.’ Tilson is committed to its mission to build America’s information infrastructure, but it will never overlook the wellbeing of its employees and customers nor compromise its values.”

Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing, exploring the outdoors, working out, playing golf and softball, and continuing his education. Sean is originally from Elizabeth, NJ and is a die-hard Army West Point football fan (“Beat Navy!”) and also roots for the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys. His favorite food is Italian, and he has two Labrador retrievers named Ryder and Roux.

Fun Fact: Sean gets up every morning at 4am to train for National Physique Committee (NPC) bodybuilding competitions!

Thanks for all your hard work, Sean! We’re glad to have you on the team.
