For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Russ!
Russ is a Program Manager for Tilson Infrastructure, where he researches and identifies tower and small cell pole locations for carriers, utilities, municipalities, enterprises, internet service providers, and smart city IoT operators.
“There are a lot of smart people with a wide variety of experience here so if you don’t know something, ask around and you can find someone who can lead you to the answer,” said Russ “I enjoy helping companies build and grow, and Tilson has roughly doubled since I joined 3 years ago. We ask a lot of employees but also offer them a lot of experiences they would not get at other companies. People can move throughout the organization to gain different skills and experiences, which make them a more well-rounded and more valuable employee.”
Outside of work, Russ enjoys going to the beach, bicycling, boating, traveling, and going to concerts. Russ has been playing the bass guitar for over 30 years and his favorite music artists are Rush (he’s seen them over 35 times!), Primus, Steely Dan, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He grew up in Long Island, New York, spent 20 years in Massachusetts, and now lives in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Fun Fact: One time Russ correctly guessed the color of every card in a deck of cards (red card or black card), 52 out of 52 times. He hasn’t used this superpower to win the lottery yet, but he says he’s pretty good at roulette.
