Tilson Tuesdays, Maggie Fleming

This month for #tilsontuesdays, we are featuring some of the amazing interns who participated in our 16-week summer internship program. For this week’s #tilsontuesdays highlight, meet Maggie!

Maggie is a Project Controls Intern working on Tilson’s Strategic Sourcing team, where she helps with subcontractor onboarding and documentation maintenance. Maggie is joining us from Eastern University where she is senior studying Entrepreneurial Studies and Business Administration. This is Maggie’s second year interning with Tilson!

“My internship experience has been rewarding,” said Maggie. “My manager has been an awesome mentor in providing guidance on different challenges I have faced and has always answered any questions I have. The experience is hands-on, and Tilson has made every effort to provide interns with challenging work that pushes us to grow our skills by setting goals and determining a plan to achieve them. Tilson has created an impactful experience while facing the challenges of COVID-19 and developing a completely remote program.”

Outside of school and work, Maggie enjoys sailing, disc golfing, playing sports, and sewing. Maggie is originally from Rutledge, Pennsylvania but currently resides in Pittston, Maine on her family farm where she has a dog named Jasper, a bunny named Ghost, two goats named Athena and Cassie, and lots of chickens! Her favorite sports team is the Philadelphia Flyers, her favorite food is pasta, and her favorite movie/book series is Harry Potter.

Fun Fact: During Maggie’s study abroad program, she spent 90 days on a sailboat traveling from Darwin, Australia to Cape Town, South Africa.

Thank you, Maggie, for all your hard work this summer!
