Tilson Tuesdays, Dale Neuenschwander

In recognition of National Veterans and Military Families Month, we are highlighting some of the veterans and active service members we are honored to work with here at Tilson. For this week’s #tilsontuesdays highlight, meet Dale!

Dale is a Lead Maintenance Technician responsible for the troubleshooting and preventative maintenance efforts for Tilson’s partnership with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Recently, Tilson partnered with Plenary Americas and the North Carolina Department of Transportation to maintain, operate, and develop network infrastructure to extend broadband capacity along 580 miles of the North Carolina I-95, US-70, and US-74 corridors: read the press release.

Dale has served 31 years in the Air Force, 12 years as a SSGT Communication & Navigation Specialist and Space Systems Maintenance Engineer, and 19 years in the reserves continuing to serve as a Communication & Navigation Specialist.

“I feel like it was the experience and knowledge I learned while in the military that put me in a position to be offered a job at Tilson,” said Dale. “Military experience has a lot of weight at Tilson and our veterans are valued here.” For those who are transitioning to the civilian sector, Dale has this advice: “Look for opportunities to leverage your work skills from the military and find jobs that will fit your skills.”

Outside of work, Dale enjoys ATV riding and spending time with his grandkids. Dale is originally from Rexville, New York, he loves to cheer on local football teams, his favorite food is “anything prepared by my wife”, and his favorite type of movie is anything military-related.

Fun Fact: Dale has five grandkids!

We are grateful to have you on the team, Dale, and thank you for your service!
