Tilson Tuesdays, Amy Grohman

 

For this week's #tilsontuesdays employee highlight, meet Amy!

Amy is a Project Administrator based out of Tilson’s Portland, ME headquarters and is responsible for tracking timely and accurate project data, submitting POs, and monitoring project revenue.

“I enjoy working at Tilson because of the seemingly endless opportunities there are here to learn new things – and the fact that I get to do them with such smart, thoughtful, and interesting people,” said Amy. “I came to Tilson with zero experience or knowledge of the telecom industry, so I was initially drawn to the company solely because of its culture. From my very first interaction with the recruiting team, I have been impressed by how friendly, open, and engaging everyone at Tilson has been. People at Tilson take pride in their work and take their jobs seriously but they are also very capable of having fun. I really appreciate working for a company that recognizes that its employees are people with lives outside of work and that supports and fosters its employees’ well-being and growth.”

Outside of work, Amy enjoys biking, skiing, hiking, reading, and cooking. Amy is originally from Denver, Colorado but has lived in Maine since 2000. Her favorite food is Mexican and Thai (the spicier, the better), her favorite movie is “Hunt for the Wilderpeople”, and her favorite book is “When We Were the Kennedys” by Monica Wood. Amy has two English setters, Milo and Huck, and a cat named Delilah.

Fun Fact: Amy makes an awesome banana bread, and she has an uncanny knowledge of 80s new wave music!
