PORTLAND, Maine (11/03/2021). Tilson, a national network development and information infrastructure professional services firm, has earned a place on the Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 600 list of Specialty Contractors for the sixth consecutive year. Tilson’s 50 spot rise to #208 in the 2021 list reflects its sustained year over year growth to meet increasing customer demands to deploy 5G and fiber despite a market slowed by shortages and inflation. This news comes after Tilson was recognized for the 11th year in a row on the Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
More recently, Tilson was awarded a fiber-to-the-home (“FTTH”) contract to complete the design and construction for a new fiber network in the Wisconsin Fox Cities metro area reaching nearly 70,000 Green Bay-area addresses with high-speed technology. Tilson self-performs wireless construction and maintenance from fifteen facilities and recently launched outside plant self-performance capabilities for FTTH and fiber-to-the-premises (“FTTP”) in several additional markets.

Earlier this year, Tilson partnered with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and the North Carolina Department of Transportation to maintain, operate, develop, and commercialize network infrastructure and extend broadband capacity along the interstate highways. The new fiber optic networks will extend broadband, strengthen long haul networks with unique diverse paths, and generate non-toll revenue through the unique public and private sector partnership.
