For Immediate Release
PORTLAND, ME (06/11/2024). Tilson, a national leader in network development and information infrastructure services, today announced that the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) recently recognized Joshua Broder, Tilson Executive Chairman, and CEO of Tilson Infrastructure, as NACD Directorship Certified®. This designation signifies Broder’s commitment to emerging issues and trends impacting financial performance, disrupting business models, and the changing competitive landscape.
The NACD Directorship Certification program® is the nation’s premier certification for board directors, offering a tangible assessment of a director’s understanding of the essential knowledge required to lead in today’s boardrooms. Certification not only facilitates continuous learning but also allows directors to demonstrate their governance knowledge to the companies they serve and other stakeholders in the broader governance community.
“By preparing for the NACD and participating in their educational events, I’ve deepened my understanding of contemporary board member fiduciary obligations and best practices. Companies that prioritize strong governance perform better for their customers, shareholders, and other stakeholders.” said Broder. “Tilson is dedicated to leading with integrity and transparency and the decisions we make are guided by our core values.”
In 2007, Broder joined Tilson’s technology consulting practice when it was comprised of only three employees. With a team of over 1,400 professionals, Tilson has emerged as a national leader in consulting and digital infrastructure design-build services and earned placements on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies for 13 consecutive years.
In January 2024, Broder transitioned from CEO to Tilson’s Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. He continues to serve as CEO of Tilson Infrastructure, a fast-growing telecom infrastructure developer and operator, focused on poles, towers, and fiber public-private partnerships. Darrell Ingram assumed the role of CEO at Tilson in his stead in late 2023.
“NACD Certified Directors demonstrate their keen awareness that directorship is a profession that, like all professions, requires continuous learning,” said Peter R. Gleason, NACD’s CEO. “Broder is leading the way in achieving and maintaining the highest credential available to directors in the United States.”
Broder also serves on the boards of Versant Power, a power transmission and distribution public utility, VETRO, a fiber mapping SaaS provider, Kleinschmidt Associates, a multi-national engineering firm, Skowhegan Savings Bank, The Jackson Laboratory, a global biotech and research institution, and Plenary Broadband Infrastructure, a long-haul fiber infrastructure developer and operator.
