CENTENNIAL, CO (03/01/2023). Tilson, a national network development and information infrastructure professional services firm, received an award from the Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) to develop and administer a broadband infrastructure grant program in the state of Colorado as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Capital Projects Funds (CPF). Projects funded through the program will bridge the digital divide in the state by bringing competitive broadband service to communities currently without internet or with limited internet access.
“Tilson’s Consulting team has implemented broadband programs in several states and the team is well versed in the opportunities and nuances around federal funding for Broadband programs,” said Jay Ford, Tilson Vice President of Telecom Consulting. “We have the experience and subject matter experts to assist the CBO in bringing high-speed internet to unserved and underserved communities in the state of Colorado.”
In this partnership, Tilson will develop the grant application portal that enables municipalities and internet service providers the opportunity to apply for and receive American Rescue Plan Act Capital Project Funds for broadband projects. Tilson’s team of Broadband Consultants bring extensive network design and engineering expertise to facilitate CBO’s funding selections, creating program guidelines and assessing each applicant’s project feasibility and impact.
