TILSON WINS GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING HAT TRICK: $1MM OF FEDERAL AND STATE PROJECTS LAND IN ONE WEEK

PORTLAND, ME, October 3rd, 2014. Tilson, a Portland based national IT and telecom project company recently won a million dollars in federal and state contracts in a single week at the end of September.

Tilson, teamed with the Bio Diversity Research Institute, was recently selected by the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management to create a mobile software application that will be utilized in the field to collect observation data during aerial and shipboard avian surveys in support of renewable energy projects on the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf.

Tilson, teamed with the James W. Sewall Company, has been awarded the contract to assist the ConnectME Authority and Maine Emergency Management Agency in the planning for FirstNet. FirstNet is mandated by Congress to develop, build and operate the nation’s first nationwide wireless public safety broadband network. Tilson, teamed with AEC Group of New Hampshire, won a bid for an infrastructure inventory and consulting engagement on telecom and IT infrastructure on Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for the U.S. Navy, Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC). The projects Includes implementing software for an outside plant management system.

We are thrilled that our government services division continues to get traction in government IT and telecom infrastructure projects both in Maine and across the country. We build the technology systems that enable our society and economy to run, and there is no question that an efficient government requires technology investment” said Tilson CEO Joshua Broder, who went onto say that “as a veteran owned company employing other veterans, supporting these government projects allows us to continue to serve our community and country.”
