PORTLAND, ME (August 7, 2012) Tilson is pleased to announce that Richard Spies, a Senior Consultant in Tilson's IT and Information Security practice, has attained the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the Project Management Institute. PMP certification recognizes competence in project management. Before applying for certification, individuals must gain at least 4,500 hours of experience leading and directing projects, in addition to having undertaken at least 35 hours of project management education.
"Rich is a skilled and experienced project manager," said Jack White, Tilson's Director of IT and Information Security. "PMP certification is highly regarded within our industry, and we're excited that Rich has attained this credential." Spies holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maine as well as a MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
